Real Audio Internet Radio Links (or whatever)This page was created when Real Audio's Realplayer was king. That time is past. Instructions for Mozilla/NetscapeActually, these instructions are for Mozilla, but since recent versions of Netscape are based on Mozilla, they should be the same. First thing, you'll need Real Player installed. You can get it from their site: Real Audio . (The info below was for the old mozilla. Firefox is easier, just Edit->Preferences->Applications, scroll down to the ra formats and use the drop down to select realplay) Then in Mozilla go to Edit->Preferences->Navigator->Helper Applications If there isn't already an entry for audio/x-pn-realaudio you'll need to add one. Click on 'New Type...'. Here's the info you'll need: Description of type: Real Media Note that the path to the application may be different on your system. But there's a browse button you can poke around looking for it with, or use whatever 'find' facility your platform has (from the command line in *NIX, as root, find / -name realplay) |
